About Sami Sipponen

I have wide experience about various IT infrastructure systems including their role inside the OT environment (networks, hosting, identity management, directories, Azure cloud infrastructure, etc.). One of my strengths is to collaborate with other people and be able to explain technical matters in such a way that non-technical people can get a grip of those. Business understanding is something I have cultivated over the years and for example I do know that fit for the purpose solution is often better in real life than aiming for a state-of-the-art outcome. I have a very analytical mindset with good problem-solving skills and ability to make things work together even if they are not meant to work together. DIY is my way to live, I'm very technically oriented ranging from structural/mechanical/electrical assets to things running inside the computer, meaning I can build things and write program code and I can also repair almost anything humans have ever built. Having the ability to do hands-on work and seeing the big picture with capability for deep dives into the details, is something that makes me a good fit for architectural positions.
