About Samih Abdo

As a Country Finance Officer at Danish Refugee Council (DRC), I play a key role in ensuring the financial integrity and accountability of one of the world's leading humanitarian organizations. I have a Certified Islamic Banker (CIB) credential and over six years of experience in finance and banking, including four years as an Investment Banker at AlNile Bank. I am proficient in Peachtree, Microsoft Dynamics 365, and Microsoft Dynamics ERP, and I use these tools to manage budgets, reports, audits, and compliance for DRC's projects and programs. I also have a strong interest in and background in Chinese language and culture, and I obtained an associate's degree in Chinese Language and Literature from Northwest Normal University. I am fluent in English, and Arabic, and I leverage these languages to communicate and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders, partners, and beneficiaries. I am passionate about supporting DRC's mission to protect and assist refugees, displaced people, and host communities, and I strive to contribute to the organization's values of respect, responsiveness, and responsibility.
