Strategic Planning: Closely working with high management on Annual Business Plan (ABP) & the budget on the procurement, strategic planning on the Share of Business (SOB) plant wise and major supplier wise. Working closely with all levels of management within the Company to determine needs, developing strategies, planning and providing procurement sources in support of those needs. Price Negotiations: This being today’s prime job-requirement, I have got experience of using various techniques of negotiation with the vendor for getting reduction on their existing prices / quotes. Also, bringing in cost reduction by developing alternate suppliers with reduced cost and presenting the data in the monthly MIS. Inventory/Materials Management: Monitoring availability of stock, making appropriate arrangements to ensure on time deliveries. Managing staff, business planning, financial reporting including annual budget and expenditure plans. Vendor development - Keeping in view the factors like production-capacity, lead-time, quality, overheads, etc. I have borne the responsibility of developing various vendors for the causes of cost reduction, localization, and standardization. Improving vendor’s performance through the supplier performance appraisal.
