About Samir Patel

As an attorney at the USPTO, I have more than eight years of experience in trademark law and trademark examination. I review and examine trademark applications, conduct research and analysis, and issue office actions and final decisions. I also represent the USPTO in appeals before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board. Prior to joining the USPTO, I worked as an attorney-advisor at the Social Security Administration, and as an associate at a private law firm, where I handled various civil litigation cases. I have a JD from California Western School of Law and a BA from the University of Virginia. I am passionate about protecting intellectual property rights, ensuring fair and efficient trademark processes, and supporting innovation and creativity. I bring a diverse perspective and a collaborative approach to my work, and I strive to uphold the highest standards of quality and integrity.
