About Samir Sutar

With over 14 years of experience in optometry and vision science, I am a dedicated and passionate professional who strives to provide high-quality education and services in this field. I have a master's degree in optometry and a long-term fellowship in pediatrics and binocular vision from prestigious institutions. Currently, I am the head of the department of optometry education and services at C.L. Gupta Eye Institute, where I lead the strategic planning, training, recruiting, and development of the optometrists. I also mentor and educate interns and optometry students, as well as conduct and publish research on various topics such as binocular vision, ROP, and myopia. Additionally, I have extensive clinical experience in diagnosing and managing vision defects, diseases, and abnormalities, as well as operating complex diagnostic equipment. I am also involved in ROP screening, community eye health activities, and optical dispensing. My mission is to advance the field of optometry and vision science through innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
