About Samparka Maity

My journey began at Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), where I earned a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in Energy Engineering. In a leadership role, I led the finance team for the IEI-VIT Student Chapter, which taught me the importance of strategic financial planning and effective communication. I furthered my education by pursuing a Post Graduate Diploma in Banking at the Ahmedabad Management Association (AMA), where I graduated as the valedictorian and gold medalist. This experience solidified my knowledge of banking principles and honed my analytical skills. To deepen my subject matter expertise, I am pursuing the CFA designation, having already passed the Level 1 exam in the 90th percentile. I also completed a specialized Master’s in Finance from The Ohio State University's Fisher College of Business, where I actively engaged in competitions and received awards, including second prize in the Equitas Case Competition and recognition in the CFA Research Challenge. In my professional roles, I have developed a robust set of skills. During my time at Tipson Financial Services and Sunrise Gilts and Securities, I focused on evaluating fixed-income opportunities and managing client relationships. These roles deepened my understanding of market dynamics and strategic financial decision-making. Currently, I am working at Morgan Stanley in Columbus, Ohio, in their wealth management department. My diverse experiences have equipped me with a strong foundation in financial modeling, risk analysis, strategic planning, and client relationship management. I hold certifications in Bloomberg Market Concepts and financial statement modeling, which prepare me to tackle complex financial challenges and drive value for organizations.
