About Samrat Paul
I’m a dedicated researcher and educator in energy engineering with over 18 years of experience in renewable energy systems, nanomaterials, and photovoltaic technologies. Currently, I serve as an Associate Professor at the Department of Energy Engineering, NEHU, mentoring undergraduate, Postgraduate doctoral and post-doctoral students and leading advanced R&D and consultancy initiatives. Currently engaged in Teaching, Research, Extension Activities and Consultancy work. My research spans across perovskite solar cells, hydrogen energy systems, biofuel, nanocatalysts, and life cycle assessment (LCA) of energy materials and devices. I’ve authored over 70 peer-reviewed publications, 4+ IPR/Patents, guided 6+ PhD scholars, and successfully led funded projects/consultancy from DST-SERB, MNREDA, and others. My research led to 4 National awards from the National Academy of Sciences and the Indian Science Congress Association. I’ve collaborated with renowned institutions across India and Europe and actively consult on solar, hydro, hydrogen and bioenergy implementation projects/R&D. My patented technologies and invited lectures reflect my commitment to translating research into impactful solutions.
