About Samson Teklu

I am a finance professional with over a decade of experience in group accounting, financial reporting, and process development within large international organizations. My background spans roles in Group Finance, Project Finance, and Financial Controlling, where I’ve built strong expertise in IFRS, consolidation, and system-driven reporting. Currently, I work at H&M Group, where I lead and support cross-functional SAP SLF (Sales, Logistics, Finance) initiatives — integrating finance, supply chain, and logistics processes to strengthen global reporting accuracy and efficiency. I collaborate closely with both local and global accounting teams, driving improvements in financial flows, controls, and system design. Before joining H&M, I spent several years at Ericsson Group Finance, responsible for PP & E consolidation, IFRS compliance, and ESEF/XBRL reporting, as well as automation of the group’s external reporting process. Earlier in my career, I worked in General Accounting and Project Finance, gaining hands-on experience in month-end closings, SOX controls, and financial analysis. I’m passionate about continuous improvement and digital transformation in finance — combining technical understanding of ERP and reporting tools (SAP, BPC, Power BI, advanced Excel) with a structured, analytical mindset.
