About Samuel Baktiar

Technology and coding have been my passion since I was young. My journey started as a Java Developer at a software consulting company, then I led a couple of small development teams. Later, I started my transition from technical works to project management work at a national bank and today I work as an IT Project Manager at my current workplace. I am so grateful for each roles that I have had until now and always had passion on whatever my roles were. In my current job, I focus on these things- Engaging closely with stake holders - Facilitating cross-functional communications - Create a collaborating, open, fair and self-growing team environment - Maximize every person talent in the team - Clarifying scope & priorities - Removing blockers along the way - Managing tasks dependencies in internal team and also accross the teams I’ve worked in various national wide industries: life insurance, industrial retail, e-commerce, banking, and fintech. These experiences have shaped my approach to managing IT projects, ensuring they not only meet technical standards but also deliver real value to the stakeholders. I believe that maintaining good relationship with people are somehing invisible but crucial for delivering the projects succesfully. I fully understand that a project is about to making an idea becomes a reality. Doing it only technically is not enough, instead, we need passion, responsibility, ownership and integrity. Beyond work, I love exploring new places, meeting new people, reading about cultures, learning Spanish and French, watching movies, and doing outdoor activities. Improving myself, learning from the mistakes and evaluating everything becomes a habit for me. Sometimes I also write articles in Linkedlink about IT Project Management and handling AI Projects. Traveling the world and experiencing different cultures are interesting things in my life.
