About Samuel Carner

I am Sam, an Eckerd graduate with a B.S. of Integrated Biology and minors in Spanish and Management. I currently work in a lab in the mountains of Colorado, analyzing molybdenum ore and the final products of mining and milling opperations. Now that the boring, standard education and experience is out of the way, let me tell you who I really am! I am a jack-of-all-trades, master of none, but often times better than a master of one. I am a messy sculpture, made of quality stone, but in need of much more work. I have been shaped by many experiences, quality mentors, world travels, hard work, and introspection. I grew up in Louisville, CO where I lived a blessed childhood full of sports, school, family, and friends. After high school I attended a unique higher education at Eckerd college, a liberal arts school in St. Petersburg, FL. Eckerd excels at developing high achieving students with a well-rounded education and a global perspective. After graduating in May 22', I traveled to Mallorca Spain where I taught english at Institucio Mallorca. Now, I have moved back to my home state of Colorado where I have found myself in quite an unexpected work place. Climax Mine! After studying Biology, I am working in mining, reenforcing the idea of how unpredictable life can be. Recently, I had my one year anniversary of working in the mine, which really got me thinking about what's next. My laboratory technician position has been a great transitionary roll for me as I've changed from being a student, to a traveler, to a worker. But now, I am looking at my horizon feeling full of potential, motivation and energy. What is next remains a mystery, but it sure is fast approaching. I'm open to new work opportunities, and eager to explore any openings. I have an education in biology and experience in the mining industry, but I am not limited to just that.
