About Samuel Chun
As a landscape designer, I am passionate about transforming spaces that will create an opportunity for the urban public to grow as a community. I have also learned and been inspired by projects that address urban conflict with ecological systems in a sensitive manner. Through my academics and my experience of living in various places around the world, I have been exposed to recognizing the importance of the context of the site and its people. After my education, I served in the Korean Military, as part of my duties as a dual citizenship. Prior to my time in college, I traveled and lived in various places such as Montana, England, Germany and South Korea, allowing me to have a broader perspective in terms of design and people. This influences my work, allowing me to focus on understanding the people as much as the technical and logistical aspects.
