As a Finance Student at High Point University, some classes I have excelled in were Financial Accounting, Financial Management, and Microsoft Excel. These 3 classes have taught me about balance sheets, financial ratios, and analysis on the financial statements for future change in the company. Currently I am working as a Personal Trainer at Fulltime Fitness in High Point, NC while I am a junior at High Point University. At Fulltime Fitness, I have worked with roughly 20 individuals and that number is increasing. One of the most needed skills I utilize here is analysis, which entails noticing trends in each client during their program, keeping track of their improvements or deficits and creating efficient workouts to help them accomplish their goals. As a Field Sales Manager for Vector Marketing/Cutco in the Triad, NC. I practiced presentation skills daily, I also have learned negotiation and sales skills to sell over worth of product. Also, my networking skills have also increased since May because I found all of my leads in order to set my own appointments. These jobs have taught me time management as I have to work scheduling to fit my class schedule and my client's life schedule. I also have to be adaptable because I am working with multiple individuals who all need or want a different service, which means my job is different for each client I have. In High School, I was the captain of the Varsity Basketball and Cross Country team. I was responsible for keeping the team accountable, doing some of the extra dirty work, leading by example at practice and in games, and motivating my teammates.
