About Samuel Cummings

Samuel began his career at BMO in 2004 as a Customer Service Representative and progressed through various branch roles including Financial Services Manager and Financial Planner - Investment & Retirement Planning. During his time as a Financial Planner he led the nation in asset consolidation multiple times and qualified for the coveted investment sales conference every year in the role. In July of 2013, Samuel was appointed Vice President Financial Planning and was accountable for a team of 17 Financial Planners with a mandate of high net worth customers totaling almost 1 billion in assets. In this role his primary focus leadership in Wealth Management leading a team of high performing Financial Planners with a key focus on growing share of wallet, primary customers and increasing customer loyalty through guidance and financial planning advice. In 2014 Samuel won the National Leadership award as voted by BMO employees and in May of 2015 Samuel was appointed Team Lead Vice President Financial Planning for Greater Toronto Division accountable for 162 Financial Planners and 11 Vice Presidents. As a way to demonstrate breadth, Samuel Cummings took on the role of Senior Relationship Manager January 2018 and was accountable to manage, maintain, develop and grow the most complex and profitable business banking relationships within a defined portfolio. His specialties included Cash Flow, Health Care, Manufacturing, Leveraged Life & Real Estate. In August 2020, Samuel was appointed Vice President Business Banking and was accountable to provide advisory and leadership support to a team of Relationship Managers with a focus on credit structuring, credit analysis, pricing as well as both operational and transaction risk oversight and regulatory compliance. Additionally, he was responsible for driving new net acquisition, revenue and balance growth as well as industry leading customer loyalty. Samuel currently holds his CFP® through the Financial Planning Standards Council – FPSC - as well as his PFP® through the Canadian Securities Institute – CSI. Samuel is also a member of the Financial Services Program Advisory Committee Centennial College, a member of the PFP Advisory Council with the Canadian Securities Institute and current Board Member at PARA Marine Search & Rescue.
