About Samuel Gracida

Samuel Gracida is a music therapist, guitarist, project coordinator, and marketing consultant with professional experience in Germany, Colombia, Mexico, and the United States. His work bridges clinical practice, transcultural dialogue, and digital strategy, all grounded in a deep commitment to music as a tool for healing, connection, and social change. Samuel currently coordinates Bridges, a music therapy initiative based in Heidelberg, Germany, that supports refugees and displaced persons through culturally responsive, community-centered practice. He also works in geriatric care as an employed music therapist in a nursing home, where he brings musical presence and emotional depth to elder care. A frequent speaker at international conferences and professional events, Samuel has presented on topics including music therapy with displaced populations, global cooperation in the arts and health, and the role of cultural depth and humility in therapeutic and advocacy work. Previously, he served on the Executive Committee of the International Association for Music and Medicine (IAMM) and chaired its Communications and Outreach Committee, helping to expand the global dialogue around music and health. In addition to his clinical and leadership roles, Samuel is the founder of Bida Digital, a consulting and media company that supports music therapists, musicians, and organizations in communicating their work with clarity and impact. His creative projects—including Soul Searching, a genre-fluid ensemble—explore themes of spirituality, memory, activism, and belonging.
