KIM Hi! I am Samuel Hungsoo Kim from Korea. As the Founding President of the Center for Asia Leadership Initiatives [CALI], I oversee three international nonprofit organizations: the Asia Leadership Institute, the Asia Leadership Trek, and Acumen Publishing. I am passionate about nurturing and empowering talent in Asia and run over 60 programs annually, including international conferences, workshops, and seminars in 83 cities in 31 Asian countries, all aimed to help the region’s emerging leaders explore ways of being socially responsible as they face today’s complex challenges. I research, teaching, consulting, and coaching focus on Adaptive Leadership, Organizational Resilience, Futures Thinking, Moral Leadership, Learning Organization, Cross-cultural Negotiations, and Power and Influence. To date, some burgeoning and established leaders from the governmental, political, non-profit, and corporate spheres in Asia have benefited from my Center's programs. Apart from these programs, I regularly provide keynotes and talks in globally recognized conventions, such as the Asian Leadership Conference, the Asia Leadership Forum, the Jeju Forum, Harvard Model United Nations at Harvard University. Prior to establishing CALI, I worked in a wide range of sectors, from strategy consulting and social entrepreneurship to international development, politics, and government. I have worked for or with over fifty renowned organizations, including the United Nations, UNESCO, Samsung, and Toyota. I also served as a Visiting Fellow at the Asia Center at Harvard University and at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University after I completed my Master’s degree in Public Administration at the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. I am the editor of thirteen books and regularly writes opinion pieces and editorials.
