About Samuel Hadacek

I am a Senior at South Dakota State University studying for a degree in Agricultural Economics with a special interest in ag policy. Growing up on a farm in Virginia, I have always known that whatever I do, I want it to be rooted in the world of agriculture. I decided to study Ag Economics to learn the fundamentals of how ag markets (and the industry) work and fluctuate. I then found a massive interest in agricultural policy, and am studying how different policies develop in different agricultural sectors, and how policy goes through legislation. I’m involved in multiple clubs and activities at my university, including Economics Club and Block & Bridle. I have taken classes that deal with ag law, policy, econometrics, marketing, business law and management, as well as animal science classes.
