About Samuel Hickson

In a short space of time, I have already achieved remarkable results in the area of sports events management. After being named Student of the Year at Sydney’s FC11 Sports Academy, I employed my award-winning customer service and organizational skills to make a real difference at Bicycle NSW, Western Sydney University and then more recently with the Western Sydney Wanderers and Football Australia. I have already successfully undertaken the roles of Events Manager (Acting) and Events Assistant with Bicycle NSW and been a valuable member of the award-winning Contact Service Centre at Western Sydney University all while undertaking a Bachelor of Business (Sport Management) degree at the University. I have since completed my Bachelor of Business (Sport Management) and have commenced a Master of Event Management at UTS. My volunteer efforts with the Western Sydney Wanderers led to a paid part time position, which included game day responsibilities and community outreach, with the prominent A-League football club. At the start of 2021, I accepted a full-time offer as the Community and Events Coordinator at the Western Sydney Wanderers. From my role at the Wanderers, I moved into the Event Coordinator position at Football Australia where I quickly made National Team matches my own and delivered high-quality, successful games across both World Cup Qualifiers and International Friendlies. Through my hard work and commitment, I recently received a promotion to Event Manager. My key strengths are my energy, passion for sport, customer service focus, teamwork and integrity and the “can do” attitude I bring to my projects.
