Working in Ireland after being sent from the US under the Mitchell Scholar program. My current focus is engaging with stakeholders and policymakers to introduce a new method of agriculture to Ireland for just-transition, and identifying member state policy to capture new opportunities to better suit all stakeholder interests. This includes carbon credits, buffer zones, and working with leaders of Bord na Mona & the horticulture sector to strategize introduction of Sphagnum moss paludiculture as new regenerative agriculture that might restore lost seasonal employment. Employment interests: Just-Transition, environment, policy, or business consulting, evidence-based environmental resource & energy policy, interest based negotiation, govt. relations, accelerators for low-tech sustainable innovation, regional bioeconomy & economic development. — Background for any interested: As a contractor I hold a pending patent with the US government which may protect a class of low-cost passive water sampling devices (looking to license in the US); I founded a startup university-based think-tank working with state & Congressional officials and stakeholders, which uses university chapters with connected faculty to offer a certification program for policy fellows from undergraduate to professional degrees and has introduced multiple bills to the state legislature in the process; I have represented a small renewable biogas business before senior Congressional committee staff and member meetings in tax policy negotiation; Conducted research ranging from sustainable policy building a tax credit system on upcycling of bourbon industry wastes to institutional research; Ecological field studies; Thesis on early development of satellite-based water balance models for IWRM in an area of World Bank-funded efforts in Peru, hired by university to investigate capability to form an international research which gaged local capacity from farmers to senior scientists of the Peruvian government to partner with interdisciplinary teams for data-driven decision making; Sustainable circularity research with Tilapia production.
