For over 13 years, I have provided transformational financial, strategic, operational and administrative leadership across multiple industries (profit and not-for-profit) including Start & Scale Ups in Africa, Middle East and the US. I have consistently led corporate turnarounds and expansions, complex functional and organizational change initiatives including setting up and operationalizing shared services centers and global corporate financing/fundraising programs (IPOs, M & As & Divestitures). As a board member, I am trusted by executive teams to interrogate performance and provide advisory to achieve stringent performance targets, strengthen business plans and alleviate risk. Some of my past accomplishments include: Streamlined Transfer Pricing Protocol by leading a massive Africa and Middle East audit, revising Intercompany Accounting policy and developing enterprise software, now adopted globally; earning the coveted Global Process Leadership award. Internal consultant in GE’s global restructuring team successfully aiding the trade sale of multi-billion dollar non-strategic business lines by realigning corporate asset abilities & defining synergies to raise value and attract potential investors. Successfully led the integration of the Alstom merger in Ethiopia, communicating vision and strategy & integrating financial and operational systems ensuring business continuity. Eliminated millions of dollars in credit risk & general provisions through policy & strategic partnership development with leading financiers to institute a Trade Assurance Cover, fit-for-use, that will liquidate the self-financed credit scheme eventually creating working capital solution in the healthcare space and incorporating FINTECH into the Healthcare Supply Chain to close a financing gap in the sector. Custodian of the group financial reporting processes, successfully delivering the 2012, 2013 annual reports and addressing shareholders during AGMs, gaining team recognition among the Top 5 East African companies in the FIRE awards.
