About Samuel Lehmann

After graduating, I pursued a career in marketing, working for IMG as a sports sponsorship consultant before transferring to LeoSports, the sports marketing arm of Leo Burnett. In 2008, I made the decision to change career, working as a junior producer and then editor on TalkSport Radio with Adrian Durham and Ian Wright on the drivetime show. In the mornings, I began volunteering at a local primary school, initially to help a friend at a school that was short-staffed and needed a one-to-one support worker for a pupil with autism. A year later, and I made the decision to re-train as a teacher at the Institute of Education. My first teaching position was in Penge, where I also worked for Bromley Social Services part-time during the school holidays. I later moved to schools in Lambeth, where I became the lead moderator for the Lambeth Writing Moderation Team for the STA, a role which included training teachers across the borough as well as moderating schools during SATs. I also led English and became a Phase Leader at Corpus Christi School in Brixton.In 2016 I moved to Hong Kong to take up a role as Head of English at Kellett Prep School. Since then I have taken on the role as Assistant Head and now Deputy Head. I work closely with colleagues across the school to ensure the highest quality education for our students, as well as to lead and improve systems around data, assessment, professional development and Health & Safety. In 2022 I completed my Masters at UCL IOE; my final dissertation focused on the impact of technological changes within education.
