About Samuel Margheim

I grew up loving the outdoors, whether it be spending long days on the river trying to catch Chinook Salmon, or spending early mornings getting drenched in the cold, windy duck blinds. I attended the University of Portland from 2014 to 2018, where I graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Environmental Science. During my time at the University of Portland, I quickly learned through my coursework that I wanted to be involved in further improving the environment. I am a true believer that we should be stewards to the land and as stewards, we should care for and preserve what the environment provides to us. It seemed natural to me that my career would revolve around protecting the environment. I started my professional career as an HSE Intern in July 2018 and was shortly promoted to Environmental Engineer in November that same year. As the Environmental Engineer for Hydro, I currently manage 11 environmental permits across five separate sites in the Portland Area. Along with the environmental management, I also provide safety support for two of the sites in Portland. I enjoy working collaboratively with others and believe that team work plays a large role in being successful.
