About Samuel Monteiro

I have been passionate about frontend development for almost 3 years now. It all started when I read a book about the MEAN stack, a development architecture with Mongo, Express, Angular, and NodeJs. It was a good start to understanding all the way through databases, backend, and frontend development before selecting one of them. It was after 1 year that I discovered a technology called React. At first, it was scary. Jumping from Angular 1 to React was in fact a challenge, but I love challenges, but who doesn't? They help us build a better version of ourselves every day. In 6 months of learning React, I thought it was time to teach some and learn with the process, so I created a tutorial divided into 3 parts on how to create a full-stack application with React which by the time that I write this, already has 21.5K views.(you can find it here: medium.com/trainingcenter/construindo-uma-aplica%C3%A7%C3%A3o-full-stack-com-react-c1a64db6fc94). After 4 months of releasing the last part of the article, I was called to work at Captalys as a frontend engineer. Working with React, GraphQL, and Relay alongside a very skilled team. A team that right now I am part of, as a Tech Lead, facilitating their work while providing some insight on what we can improve on each one of the projects that we have.
