About Samuel Postma

I have worked in several roles assisting entrepreneurs in information processing and form filing. I have taught myself the computer language R and currently work as a research assistant for a molecular biology professor at Northwest University, studying RNA motion within eukaryotic cells. As a biology major, simultaneously working on a master's degree in Bible and Theology, I intend to work as a research assistant or intern to further my laboratory experience. I aim to complete a doctorate in molecular biology in the next few years. I can best achieve this goal by working in the field and gaining research experience. I am passionate about learning and developing my skills so that I may grow as a person and professional. My educational and extracurricular experiences have helped me develop my communication and research skills. Specifically, completing my Eagle Scout meant I learned how to work with others and achieve a definable goal while setting personal goals. Working on a master's and bachelor's degree while enrolled in an honors program means I have developed disciplined time management skills. Likewise, these programs have strengthened my critical thinking, and research has helped my problem-solving skills develop.
