Background

About Samuel Quiles

Directly impacted advocate, case manager, and policy strategist with 7+ years of experience in criminal justice reform, reentry support, and youth advocacy. I provide trauma-informed, person-centered support to individuals navigating mental health challenges, leveraging lived experience to build trust, reduce stigma, and promote recovery. Currently serving as a Case Manager at the Center for Justice Innovation, I specialize in bridging systems and communities to advance restorative justice, decarceration, and healing. My work is grounded in client-centered practices and supported by certifications in mental health first aid, suicide prevention, and peer recovery. Fluent in Spanish and skilled in coalition-building and legislative engagement, I strive to empower resilient communities and advocate for those most impacted by systems of harm. As an alum of a higher education in prison program, I actively champion expanding access to college in prison as a critical pathway to opportunity, dignity, and long-term reentry success.
