About Samuel Ropers

Who am I? This is a great question that I am tryinng to answer every day. But here is what I have learned so far : I am a very creative person who likes to express that said creativity in many ways. In school, I have always thrived in arts, litterature or any project that asked me to create something. I could just pour a little bit of my fantasy out in the real world. In my adult life, I tried doing the restaurant industry full time and then the office job full time and realised that I felt stuck, I needed more opportunity to create, to get out of the box. Around that time, I was also learning about the ins and out of make up online and by experimenting on myself. I then decided to try mysef at Sephora to turn my career path toward the field of Make up. During that experience, I learned a lot about the profesionnal part of a Make up Artist, which was information lacking from my self learning. I also discovered that I liked sharing my knowledge of cosmetics by selling the right products to clients. This experience was great, but made me realise that I was missing something important : the freedom to achieve my goals in ways that allow me to be creative. I needed to be in control of what I was selling and my approach to sales. That's when I moved to brand specific beauty advisor job. I started at a countre for Dior, but the same problem ended up happening. I really started thriving when I got my opportunity as a Freelancer Beauty Advisor for Becca. I would come in store with a goal and a time frame to acieve it, and as long as I would achieve it, my job was done. WHich allowed me to really enjoy my days a lot more and get amazing results. I simultaneously started as a Freelancer Beauty Advisor for Nudestix, where I was also achieving great results. It's how I got the promotion to Market Leader for the Quebec Market in early 2020. This position is a great opportunity to use my creativity not only to achieve my sales goals, but also to assure the success of events, to create training session as well as finding ways to grow the buisiness within my market. All this effort paid off leading me to the role of Coordinator in 2021 to then getting promoted to Manger, Account executive, for the province of Québec in early 2023. Growth is what really drive me. Being able to always move forward. My focus is always on growing as an artist and a leader to spread my creativity and knowledge.
