About Samuel Rose

I am best when I am busy and that is why I do a lot. I also believe in the double bottom line where I love to give back in addition to the job at hand. So much of what I do is with a Civically minded mentality. For that reason, I have a tremendously diverse set of skills and a background in so many different fields. I started my career after college in GIS/Satellite Imagery using my degree in Geography. After that, I followed my passions to the informal education of travelling and of cultural exchanges. Once in Aspen, I fully devoted myself to all the civic engagement I could do. That is why I am a volunteer firefighter-EMT, a Response hotline advocate for victims of sexual assault/domestic violence, and a commissioner on the Ninth Judicial District performance commission reviewing judges for retention. I was also part of the COVID response for the last three years as I concurrently got my Masters in Finance and Risk Management online. This all lead me to being the youngest city council member in Aspen's history which I take as truly the highest honor. I now am running the housing program with 110 plus housing units at the Aspen School District. My skillset and background is robust and diverse and my passions keep moving me forward to being a productive and happy member of my community.
