About Samuel Spearing

I am a software quality assurance engineer at CallFinder Speech Analytics, a leading provider of cloud-based speech analytics solutions. I have a BA in Computer Science from Clark University, where I learned the fundamentals of programming, data structures, algorithms, and software engineering. I have a passion for ensuring the quality and functionality of software products and services, and I have developed core competencies in QA testing, Kubernetes, and Jira. At CallFinder, I work with a cross-functional team of developers, product managers, and customer support specialists to asses and confirm updates to our product to deliver quality speech analytics. I communicate project tracking through daily stand up meetings, sprint-retros, tickets associated to a Jira Epic, and Confluence documentation, following the Agile framework. I perform test cases on software and document correct functionality on respective Jira tickets, using Kubernetes to deploy and manage the applications. I enjoy working in a fast-paced team oriented position, where I can contribute to the continuous improvement of the software quality and customer satisfaction.
