About Samuel Williams

I'm Samuel "Savoirfaire" Williams better known throughout the industry as “Savoirfaire Jazz Violinist”. Most recently, I perform with my groups Savoirfaire Jazz Quartet and Chicago Gypsy Project. I have been invited to record for numerous albums and International Jazz Festivals worldwide. I have most notably been known as a session string player for Chicago recording sessions for top industry string arrangers Tom Tom Washington and Matt Jones. In 2005, I was personally invited to provide my string quartet “ Renascent String Quartet “ to play as extras. My role was to play myself as principal violinist of my string quartet in the movie "Proof "(05) with Gwenyth Paltrow and Anthony Hopkins a first in the history of American film making. I focus on continuing to trail blaze as a composer, producer, and arranger breaking down industry barriers by integrating contemporary Jazz with other forms of music such as Hip Hop, Rock, and World Music. I am here to share my brand of creativity and connect with music lovers and industry professionals.
