About Samuli Harjunen

I'm a lifelong computer and tech enthusiast who has tinkered with computers since MS-DOS was a thing in the 90's. Coded my first website in elementary school when using a looping midi track with no way to turn it off on a website was "a terrific idea". I've done many smaller projects related to coding and IT throughout the years ranging from concept art in indie games and graphic design, to coding web applications, but the kickstart to my coding career started with the programming MOOC which launched me on this crazy adventure to become a fulltime coder. I was hooked on Java and there was no turning back. After that I managed to get into Academic Works Academy which made me a ironclad full stack developer. So what is this coder made of? Backend development using Java, Spring Boot, JDBC, JPA, etc, frontend using Javascript, HTML, CSS, React.js, backend PostgreSQL, a ton of different AWS services just to name a few of the ingredients. Throw in some visual skills, an over 10 year Photoshop experience and knowledge and the package is complete. Nowadays hoping to make the world a slightly less buggy place using a wide array of coding skills.
