Sandeep is a Village Level Entrepreneur, certified by CSC Academy and reputed ISB (Indian School of Business) under the Digital India Program of the Ministry of Electronics & IT (MeitY), Government of India, and is trained about various services provided by Common Services Centre (CSC). Sandeep shares the vision areas of Digital India Program particularly the citizens of Rural India and has set-up an Information & Communication Technology (ICT) based Centre, so that local community of Kolakham may be served with digital technology.• Digital infrastructure as Utility to Every Citizen• Governance and services on demand• Digital empowerment of citizensSandeep has chosen, Kolakham, a remote village in the state of West Bengal, around 108 km from SILIGURI. This charming village offers majestic views of Mt. Kanchenjunga and is a scenic Himalayan habitat of 80 odd Nepali Rai families, adjacent to Neora Valley National Park. Naturalist Rai's lead a ‘simple lifestyle harmonized with wildlife and it’s frequently visited by nature loving tourists mostly birding enthusiasts.Sandeep functions as an 'access point' for delivery of various electronic services to the locals, thereby contributing to development of a digitally and financially inclusive society. Sandeep is a change agent, promoting rural entrepreneurship and building rural capacities and livelihoods. He is a natural enabler of community participation and collective with key focus on the local citizens.He works with CSC enabler banks to deliver various banking and financial services, Government to Citizens (G2C services) and Business to Citizens (B2C services). Sandeep is a supporter of renewable energy and passionate about Skill Development.Sandeep manages a farm stay named "Kolakham - The Himalayan Retreat", promoting tourism and income generation for locals by his other ventures viz- Green Bliss - Plants and Pots Studio- Rangeela Kolakham (Art Studio)- Cafe Himalayan HotPot- Divine Looks (Unisex Salon)Sandeep holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce from prestigious Panjab University, Chandigarh and is FCMA (Fellowship Certified Management Accountant) from ICMAI, Kolkata besides holding CISA (Certified Information System Auditor) from ISACA, United States (an international professional association focused on IT governance). Sandeep founded several entrepreneurship ventures in the last few years post his early retirement from work and carry immense experience gained through working in several countries in Africa, Middle East and South East Asia.
