Msc in mathematics, 4 years of teaching experience, switched to IT in september 2009, training at KVL in databases and datawarehousing, ETL engineer and datawarehouse / master data management specialist at Aegon since october 2009. End 2014 I joined KVL to become a Business Intelligence / Data Warehousing consultant.I have experience in BI development from back end ETL to front end reporting as well as master data management with Markit EDM. As an internal developer / analyst at AAM I was involved in various projects- Decommissioning the old datawarehouse and, as a result, bringing the organisation (150 empl.) on one single data platform with Business Objects as reporting tool (Q1 Q2 2012)- Redesigning the BO universes and building a new solution for "lookthrough" reports to disclose clients bottom level security positions. This solution made information available on a daily in stead of a monthly basis with 99% less storage, 99% less processing time, 50% increased reporting performance and extra functionality. A creative idea that grew into a succesful and important medium sized project with high impact.(Q3, Q4 2011)- Implementing changes (on ETL and reporting) as a result of migrating the fund administration to CITI Bank.(end 2010 / start 2011)- Upgrading BO to XI3, DataStage to version 8.5 and Sybase to 15.03.(march 2011)- Responsible for setting up, maintaining and formalising DataStage, Business Objects and Markit EDM development standards- Helped to implement Markit EDM, main specialties were OTC processing, position integration, PreMaster Instrument and an automated instrument export to Portia (including UI component)(jan 2012)It is my ambition to grow as an excellent developer, becoming more and more experienced in datawarehousing, master data management and related IT systems, increasing the value of my contribution to the environment and giving valuable advice to management and the business based on very detailed technical knowledge.Specialties: Mathematics: Algebraic number theory, algebraic topology, logic and foundations of mathematics, mathematics teaching.IT: Business Intelligence, ETL, Kimball Datawarehousing, IBM InfoSphere, Datastage 7.5 & 8.5, Business Objects XI2 & XI3 (including WebI reporting and Universe Design, Live Office and Life Cycle Manager), SQL, Sybase 12.5 & 15.03, Powerdesigner.
