About Sander Sein

I am keen on asset and performance management of infrastructure, mainly focusing on adding value to the product and features needed from a civil engineering point of view. My professional career started in a building material testing laboratory concentrating on concrete, special constructions, and non-destructive testing. I have also worked as a bridge analyst in the Estonian Road Administration and lecturer at Tallinn University of Technology, dealing with the entire bridge management process from the owner's point of view. In 2021, I defended my PhD thesis related to input data in asset management uncertainties. In addition to analysing detailed structural data, I have been focusing on broader issues like accessibility of streets and roads, risk analysis and the image of the road engineering industry in society. Together with raising three kids, I have contributed to several national or international research and development projects related to roads, bridges and building materials.
