About Sander van Til
As researcher on nuclear fuels I set and guard the scientific targets of irradiation experiments in the High Flux Material Test Reactor (HFR Petten). I coordinate of (post-irradiation) examination of nuclear fuels in the Hot Cell Laboratory. Responsible for methodology and QA of several (non-)destructive characterizations (radiography, gammaspectrometry, eddy current, ceramography, SEM EDS, isotopic mass spectrometry) My main motivation is to contribute to development of nuclear technology and increasing awareness on the potential of nuclear power for society and in the energy transition. I enjoy working with students and occassionaly give lectures to a younger generation on nuclear technology and/or radiation (protection)
