Background
About Sandhya Sachidanandan
I am a data science leader with 13 years of industry experience, skilled in building machine learning models ranging from simple ANNs to advanced transformers, with and without reinforcement learning. In my career, I have also developed data engineering pipelines necessary to deploy and serve these models in production. I hold a master’s in Data Science and a bachelor’s in Computer Science Engineering.Currently, I lead data science initiatives at IKEA, where I am driving our transition into a data-driven organization. My current work focuses on digitizing IKEA’s extensive home furnishing expertise and leveraging it along with customer insights to build powerful recommender systems which empower online customers in creating a better life at home. I am hands-on in my work while also mentoring and advising other data scientists in the team
