These departments would include Office Manager, Payroll Specialist and Human Resource Manager. For the last few years I have also been given the opportunity to learn Dispatching. As an Office Manager for 5 years, I was responsible for a small automotive business with approximately 15 employees. Being the only office employee, besides the owner, it was a great opportunity for growth. My responsibilities included Payroll, all receiving and billing along with scheduling of work schedules, customer appointments, and reconciliation of funds distributed to employees and banking. I then moved to a Water Well company as a Payroll Specialist, working with public works. My main responsibility was maintaining Payroll and Prevailing Wages for 150 employees that included the Fringe Benefits and Compliance reporting that is required to work with Public Works entity's, along with business taxes and mandated garnishments. I was directly certified in Los Angeles County, California to be a representative for our company and the Public Works that was awarded to our company. This was a great opportunity because when I started I didn't have any knowledge of Public Works or paying and the calculating of business taxes. This also gave me the opportunity to learn more about labor laws. As of today, I work for a trucking company as a Payroll Specialist. I have brought with me the experience of Payroll and Public Works but I've also been given the chance to learn more about Human Resources, Workmen's Comp and general DOT maintenance and given the title of HR Manager and PR Specialist. At Triple E Trucking, I am responsible for all Payroll requirements, including all reconciliation and reporting of our quarterly and annual business taxes. I am also responsible for all Unemployment/Workmen's Comp Claims, FMLAs, LOA's, vacation and sick pay. Other responsibilities would include Driver's License and Medical Cards that are required by DOT along with BIT Inspections required every 2 years on a fleet of about 60 trucks. After training for 2 years in our Dispatch Department I am also utilized in that department when there is a need. My objective is to find a long time position in a positive and energetic environment.
