Background
About Sandra Boccia
Fellow at Harvard University and student at MIT Media Lab, I connect technology, ethics, and creativity to inspire collective transformation and cultural resilience. As a former editorial director and award-winning journalist, I led major media brands and launched initiatives such as Um Só Planeta — recognized by INMA as Latin America’s best media project for climate action. I was named one of Brazil’s most admired business journalists and selected as a LinkedIn Top Voice for leadership on innovation and sustainability. My global perspective has been shaped by professional experiences in over 40 countries, reinforcing my commitment to cultural diversity, inclusive leadership, and systemic change. Today, my work integrates storytelling, research, and strategy to empower leaders, strengthen communities, and design regenerative innovation ecosystems. I explore how emerging technologies — especially artificial intelligence — can advance cultural preservation, social trust, and inclusive futures. I have spoken and moderated at global and regional events such as TEDx São Paulo, Web Summit Rio, Forum Juridico de Lisboa, Amcham CEO Forum, IBGC, Flip, and the Brazil Climate Summit in New York. I also serve on the boards of O ECO (environmental journalism), WILL — Women in Leadership in Latin America, Imagine Brasil (linked to Fundação Dom Cabral), and Instituto Talanoa (climate policy and democracy). Additionally, I am a member of Women Corporate Directors and the Global League of Intrapreneurs. I see my work as cultural stewardship: weaving knowledge, imagination, and ethics to help co-create a more human-centered and resilient future. Let’s connect to shape it together.
