About Sandra Correa Jorge

I have worked for 16 years in international schools in Kuwait, first as an ESL teacher at an American school then as a homeroom teacher at a British curriculum school. During the time I worked as a primary teacher, I was also a team leader for 8 years, being promoted to the position of Deputy Head of Primary School. As a homeroom teacher I have taught children between 8 and 11 years of age and strongly believe that my skills and passion for teaching would make a positive contribution to any school. My key skills include a committed approach to teaching, strong leadership and organizational skills, and I am fluent in Portuguese and English, with a good knowledge of Spanish, Italian and Arabic. I also have the enthusiasm and determination to ensure that I make a success of the teaching role. Through my years of experience in school administration, I developed strong expertise in managing staff, organizing and planning extra-curricular activities, interviewing and recruiting new teachers and teacher assistants, and also developed deep know-how of interpreting policies and providing administrative supervision at all levels.
