About Sandra Dailey

I have been employed by the Orange County Government for over thirty years and have worked in several departments within the county. I am currently in my twenty-fourth year working at the Orange County Convention Center where I am employed as the Security and Transportation Administrator in the Security, Parking, and Transportation Division. Previously, I served as a Security Supervisor, where I supervised 125 full-time and on-call security staff, including but not limited to selection, training, scheduling, monitoring independent work progress and providing technical, administrative and operational assistance and guidance to security staff. I monitored daily security operations, ensuring policy compliance and enforcing security and fire / safety regulations including CCTV and access control. I also have a wealth of experience interacting with internal and external customers,(in my role in the Exhibitor Services Section,) from convention center staff, show management, law enforcement, decorating companies, as well as exhibitors and attendees. Additionally, I have supervised internal and external staff, anywhere from 25-300 people) where I held the position of Event Security Coordinator. I have been involved in various tasks in the facility: hiring, scheduling and supervising staff, assisting with preparing budgets, examining event floor plans, and dealing with contracts and purchase orders. During the time that I worked as an Event Security Coordinator, I examined event floor plans, coordinated and scheduled staff, as well as assist the Fire Marshall by inspecting for any violations that might have occurred. I was also involved in move in and move out meetings for each event and conducted meeting with my staff to inform them of any unique situations that could be of concern to us. I have also been a part of the coordination of many special dignitaries that have attended the center for guest appearances, concerts, etc. I enjoy being challenged with different tasks and I am very self-motivated. I also enjoy planning and coordinating various projects and assisting others whenever necessary.
