About Sandra Dias

Sandra Dias holds a master’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico (Lisbon) and a specialization in Safety Engineering. Sandra has developed her professional career in major international companies such as DuPont, Ferro, Maxam and Sonae, mainly focused on transformational projects, processes optimization implying cultural and behaviour change management. Sandra has worked in chemical industry, mining and retail sectors, in different areas: safety engineering, process safety, management systems, compliance, quality and environment. Currently Sandra is Head of Health, Safety and Environment for Koura Business Group, within Orbia, developing strategies and programs to improve process safety, workplace safety, environmental and operational performance, using best practices in chemical and mining sectors as reference. Enthusiastic for streamlined processes, Sandra is keen on building sustainable solutions for complex problems and on transforming compliance issues into business value. Sandra enjoys nature and open-air activities, specially surrounded by family and friends.
