About Sandra Galbusera

With over 30 years of experience, I am passionate about improving the living conditions of vulnerable populations. Currently, I serve as the Country Director in Mozambique, where I am expanding Enabel's operations and building strong relationships with institutional partners. From 2019 to 2023, I had the privilege of leading Enabel's work in Niger, contributing to meaningful progress in the region. I also hold the role of Director of Programmes and Adviser on Strategy & Partnerships at Plan International Belgium, where I focus on children's rights globally. Alongside this, I provide consultancy in International Cooperation. My career spans two decades in NGO programme management, specializing in gender issues, social norms, and sexual and reproductive health rights (SRHR). I have extensive experience in leading and facilitating change and transition processes across different settings, including regionalization, restructurings, government screenings, and paradigm shifts. I have managed teams focused on partner financing, advocacy, and development education while overseeing operations, including personnel and financial management, action planning, and budgeting. My strengths lie in facilitating organizational strengthening and institutional development. I am deeply committed to promoting gender equality, multistakeholder collaboration, and capacity building, believing in the power of people, their right to self-determination, and the strength of intercultural dialogue. I thrive in co-creation and lifelong learning environments.
