About Sandra Gonzalez

A Cuban-American Minority Woman who possesses IT and Education Management experience in the Washington Metropolitan Area. Currently Sandra serves as the Director of the Spanish GED Program at Carlos Rosario International Public Charter School. Before, she was the English Language Learner Specialist at Capital City Public Charter School in Washington, DC. She served as an IT Management Consultant for FEDVAR Corporation assisting with daily sales and managerial activities. Her experience at FEDVAR led to a teaming agreement with FCT where she is VP. Sandra has been a DC Charter School Board educational consultant team member for the past six years; reviewing curriculum, assessments, instruction, and climate and governance of six to eight charter schools per year. Before the IT industry and the DC Charter Board, Sandra served as an educator/administrator with the District of Columbia Public Schools for fourteen years. She was an instructional leader who developed and implemented curriculum, and performed over sixty teachers structured observations. She has experience managing schools with over 200 students. Her experiences have taught her that “the customers are at the center of all decisions”. Specialties: Dual-language programs; program reviews; leadership; management; solutions provider.
