About Sandra Hernandez

Having worked in the Canadian commercial lending area since 2017 and in the US financial industry since 2008, I have gained a thorough understanding of personal and commercial lending guidelines(commercial, agriculture and construction) and an aptitude for complex credit analysis. I am well versed in the identification of risk and warning trends on commercial loans through the in depth analysis of projected cash flows. I further strengthened my knowledge in commercial banking while working as a Recovery Services Clerk focusing in property enforcement, bankruptcy and commercial loan restructuring by way of Forbearance Agreements alongside Special Loans Managers. It is through my enrollment in the Business Commerce program at McMaster University that I gained a thorough understanding about Canadian accounting and finance principles that are applicable on my day to day work endeavors. I have also developed self-directed learning skills while attending post-secondary education which have allowed me to take on new opportunities, become more familiar working on inter-generational environments and become more comfortable with unavoidable changes. I am a committed and dynamic person with a positive attitude who works hard, learns quickly and always look for ways to be ahead of the curve. I enjoy working with people of varied backgrounds and getting out of my comfort zone. My passion lies in continuous learning, mitigating risks and utilizing my innately detail-oriented and analytical skills to improve deficiencies in the workplace and continue to grow in my profession.
