About Sandra Lee

In private practice as a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in CA and TN, I work with a diverse clientele and address a variety of lifespan relational and developmental challenges that impact psychological and spiritual well-being. I specialize in treatment of trauma, and particularly with women's issues. I use an integrative, scientifically valid approach to individual, family and group therapy, which respects all levels of human experience. In addition to office services, I offer outdoor therapy to facilitate reciprocal healing relationships between people and the earth. I have training in PTSD, combat stress, TBI, and serving military families. I have trained in, but not gained certification in EMDR and Somatic Experiencing. Previous certifications in bodywork, yoga therapy, and fitness training also inform my integrative perspective of holistic well-being. I am committed to social justice, global peace, and wellness among all living systems. I am a member of NAMI, APA, AAMFT, TNMFT. I love to hike and explore inner and outer terrains. Since 2006, as a Behavioral Health Clinician with Ventura County Behavioral Health, I serve a multi-cultural and otherwise diverse clientele of severely emotionally disturbed youth, young adults, and their families. I provide interdisciplinary consultation to interagency health and mental health providers and educators. I publicly present on topics related to lifespan development and mental health. I provide AAMFT Certified clinical supervision to master's level interns. In addition to a BS in Psychology, and MA in Counseling Psychology, With Emphasis in Depth Psychology, I have completed all coursework for Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology and am a candidate for dissertation. As Adjunct Faculty at the Brooks Institute of Photography, I taught Developmental, Abnormal, Social, and Media Psychology.
