About Sandra Nasser

Present: Competition & Events Manager at the publishing house Oberauer Medienfachverlag. Organising PR and Media competitions for communication companies and agencies to take part in. Past: Cultural events' coordinator at the Divan - The Arabic Cultural House in Berlin, building bridges between the Arabic and the German societies using culture. To promote dialogue, intercultural exchange and international understanding, I organised events at various levels, including art exhibitions, roundtable events on specific topics, music events and book readings for both German and Arabic audiences. I also worked as a research assistant at the Institute Heritage Studies (IHS) under the direction of Prof. Dr. Marie-Theres Albert, in which projects concerning heritage and World Heritage are undertaken. Background: Architecture and world heritage studies; work experiences in using GIS for identification and mapping of attributes representing a site’s Outstanding Universal Value; drafting UNESCO Tentative list entries; feasibility studies for world heritage potential; research for comparative analysis; and capacity building. Event management and coordination of various projects of international context.
