About Sandra Ortega

My ability to work hard and persevere makes me confident in my performance and dedication to any position I pursue. I am currently a senior at the University of Florida pursuing a Business Administration degree specializing in retail sales. Throughout my time here over the past semester at the University of Florida, I have been able to participate in volunteering activities and organizations that have allowed me to strengthen my collaborative skills, communication skills, and critical thinking skills. Also having been an employee for a retail store, Urban Outfitters, has allowed me to work in an environment that helped me create efficiency, time management, and customer service skills. Working at Urban Outfitters where I learned many skills such as working collaboratively, communication, and time management helped me prepare for situations where I have presented a task and need to work efficiently to complete it. My work peers often described me as hard-working and fast-paced, and I was awarded employee of the month. Being a student at the University of Florida and joining extracurriculars has allowed me to be more collaborative and communicate with others by volunteering with my Delta Nu Zeta membership. Volunteering through them at food pantries, and with other businesses. I am highly passionate about my career in retail sales and the fashion industry, I'm hoping to move on to get my law degree after graduating from Undergrad in the spring of 2024 for business. I continue to strive to perfect my skills for the business world and in working with sales by emerging myself more into my community and positions related to business retail.
