Provided leadership and responsibility for operations of non-profit membership organization designed to strengthen White House-designated HBCU libraries through leadership development, preservation activities and future planning. Reported to a Board of Directors consisting of HBCU library directors and non-HBCU colleagues. Provided leadership in developing strategic and financial planning and managing an organizational budget. Designed, publicized and promoted activities of the organization. Served as the Project Supervisor of the Andrew W. Mellon funded Creating Access to HBCU Library Alliance Archives: Needs, Capacity and Technical Planning project. In collaboration with CLIR, the project aimed to build consensus around common values, priorities and needs for describing and managing HBCU archival collections. Served as the Project Director of the NEH funded five-year Building Capacity for Special Collections at HBCUs challenge grant project. Was responsible for all project activities of the grant which was designed to increase accessibility and promote the humanities significance of HBCU cultural items. Served as Co-Project Director of the IMLS funded The HBCU Library Alliance + Digital Library Federation Authenticity Project: Fostering Dynamic Fellowship Cohorts, Strategic Organizational Partnerships and Authentic Community. In partnership with the Digital Library Federation, the project supported professional development and mentoring project activities for early to mid-career HBCU librarians. Served as Project partner with the University of Delaware Art Conservation Department for a summer library internship program to support student interns. Duties included promoting the program, soliciting and reviewing applications and serving on the project advisory committee.
