About Sandra Pogones

Sandra Pogones has extensive experience in healthcare quality improvement and project management, with significant “hands-on” work with physicians. Ms Pogones applies principles of improvement science to achieve better healthcare, improved population health and lower costs, and facilitates physician success under value-based payment systems. Her past work includes facilitating implementation of EHRs, streamlining workflows, integrating evidence-based quality measures into practice, and assisting physicians in earning incentive payments andavoiding penalties under quality payment programs such as MACRA/MIPS, Meaningful Use, PQRS, Medical Home/PCMH, and value-based purchasing. Ms Pogones has participated with the Office of the National Coordinator's Regional Extension Center services to identify barriers to effective EHR use and strategize solutions.
