With over 25 years of experience in education, I am a passionate and dedicated instructional leader who strives to create a positive and collaborative learning environment for all stakeholders. As an Assistant Principal at NYC Department of Education, I oversee the implementation of school and district initiatives, policies, guidelines, resources, tools, guidance for school and district leaders. I am committed to improving student learning outcomes, increasing parent engagement, staff development, and aligning my goals with the mission and culture of the organization. I bring diverse perspectives and experiences to the team, as I have worked with students and teachers from various backgrounds, levels, and needs.Experienced educational leader with a strong track record of supervising staff, facilitating collaboration, and driving positive outcomes in academic settings. Skilled in strategic planning, program management, and community engagement. Proficient in data analysis, curriculum development, restorative justice practices, deescalation and new teacher mentoring program facilitation. Prior to becoming an Assistant Principal, I served as a central based NYPS Literacy Collaborative Instructional Coach, where I provided in-classroom coaching on all elements of reading and writing instruction, assessments for teachers. I also conducted professional learning workshops for teachers and parents. I analyzed and disseminated data and research-based practices to inform and improve instruction. I leveraged my skills in instructional leadership, and staff development to support teachers in enhancing their pedagogy and classroom management, while fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.
