About Sandra Smith

I have worked in the Mental Health and Social Work fields since 1996. My experience began with working with individuals, children, and families dealing with behavioral problems. In 2009, I began an internship in the substance abuse treatment field and found this is where I want to be. Since that undergrad internship, I have continued my education and completed a MSW program at University of New England in 2020 and am now working toward LCSW. The emphasis of my work has been on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy CBT for adults who are struggling with substance use disorder and I also have some experience with DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy). My goals is to help each individual become better as they grow and develop a better self, both personally and professionally
