About Sandra Soffen

Though my heart and passion lies with my writing I have been fortunate enough to develop and maintain a career in payroll. I started on the service side with ADP and quickly began to expand my knowledge in more detail into payroll related filings, notices, and basically whatever else I could get my hands on. While my career has taken me away from my origins at ADP I have been able to take with me knowledge that I would not have gained anywhere else. My more recent experience was at a smaller company located in worcester (harpers) where I was able to learn hands on how to file and process tax returns with every jurisdiction. I was also able to research and familiarize myself with registration, payment, and filing options for multuple websites used by various tax agencies. While i thouroughly enjoyed my time there and the work I was able to do I took an opportunity to work in the payroll department of benchmark senior living. There I was the backup specialist for a few month before I took over the payroll of 5700 employees. We are about 4 years later and I have changed my role at the company to a more leadership role. We have expanded to just under 7k associates and I oversee a team of three.
